Dental pain is hard to sit with. We know that.

Whether it came on overnight or it’s been building for a few days, a dental emergency tends to take over everything. You can’t concentrate. You can’t sleep. And the last thing you want is to be told the next available appointment is in three weeks.

At Renew Dental, we keep emergency slots available specifically for situations like this. We see registered patients and new patients. And we’ll always do our best to get you in the same day.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency?

If it’s causing you pain or worry, it’s worth a call. Here are the situations we see most often at Renew Dental and if yours isn’t on the list, ring us anyway on 01922 636 222 and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Sudden or worsening tooth pain that’s making it hard to eat, sleep or concentrate. This is the most common reason people call us, and it always needs looking at sooner rather than later.

A chipped, cracked or broken tooth can leave sensitive inner layers exposed and get worse quickly. Even if it’s not painful yet, it’s worth getting seen before it becomes a bigger problem.

If a tooth has been fully knocked out, every minute counts. Call us straight away on 01922 636 222 and we’ll talk you through what to do on your way in.

A filling that’s fallen out or cracked leaves the tooth underneath vulnerable to pain, sensitivity and further damage. It feels minor, but it’s one of those things best dealt with quickly.

Swelling around a tooth or in the jaw can be a sign of infection. This one shouldn’t be left. If you’re noticing swelling, call us today.

A throbbing pain, a bad taste or swelling around a tooth can all point to an abscess. This is an infection that won’t go away on its own and needs treatment as soon as possible.

Partially erupted wisdom teeth get infected fast, especially when food gets trapped around them. If you’ve been managing the pain for a couple of days and it’s getting worse, it’s time to come in.

If your appliance is cutting your mouth or making it impossible to eat, we’ll assess it and find the quickest fix.

Persistent bleeding from a socket or gum lasting more than 20 minutes despite firm pressure needs to be looked at.

Here's what to expect when you come in.

Dr Indy and the team will take a look at what’s going on, explain what they find in plain English, and talk you through your options clearly. You’ll never be rushed into a decision you’re not comfortable with.

Depending on what’s needed, treatment at your emergency appointment may include pain relief, antibiotics, a temporary repair, or, in some cases, a referral for specialist care.

Emergency treatment is priced between £80 and £200 depending on what’s required. We’ll always tell you the cost before we begin.

A private practice that treats you like a person, not a number.

Renew Dental was founded by Dr Indy Johal, a dentist who built this practice from scratch with one goal in mind: to give patients in Walsall the kind of care they actually deserve.

Dr Indy holds an MSc in Endodontology with Distinction, which means she has advanced specialist knowledge in diagnosing and treating dental pain. When you’re suffering with toothache, that kind of expertise genuinely matters.

We’re not here to do more than what you need. We’re here to sort the problem, keep you comfortable, and make sure you know exactly what’s going on every step of the way.

We're Taking New Patients in Walsall

You don’t need to have visited us before to get seen. Renew Dental is open to new patients for both emergency appointments and routine care, so if you’ve been putting off finding a dentist or you’ve just moved to the area, this is a good place to start.

Dr Indy and the team will take the time to get to know you properly, find out what’s bothering you, and make sure you leave with a clear picture of where your dental health stands.

We’re based on Broadway in Walsall with free parking right outside. Easy to get to, easy to book, and a practice that genuinely wants to do right by you.

Frequently Asked QuestionsAbout Emergency Dentist

Can I come in as a new patient for an emergency appointment?

Yes. You don’t need to be a registered patient at Renew Dental to be seen in an emergency. Just call us on 01922 636 222 or book online and we’ll do our best to get you in as soon as possible.

We aim to see emergency patients on the same day wherever we can. Monday and Wednesday evenings until 7:00pm give us extra capacity outside standard working hours, which helps a lot when something comes up during the day.

Emergency treatment is priced between £80 and £200, depending on what’s required when we see you. We’ll always tell you the cost upfront before any treatment begins, so you know exactly where you stand.

Call us immediately on 01922 636 222. In the meantime, handle the tooth by the crown rather than the root, keep it moist (in milk or held gently in your cheek), and get to us as quickly as you can. The sooner we see you, the better the chances of saving it.

Tell us when you call or book. We work with anxious patients regularly and we’ll make sure you’re looked after properly from the moment you arrive. Dr Indy’s approach is calm, unhurried and straightforward. You’re in good hands.
